Product Compatibility & Handling Disclaimer

Last Updated: April 28, 2026

This Product Compatibility & Handling Disclaimer explains customer responsibilities, product suitability checks, compatibility limitations, product guidance, handling risks, sensitive component considerations, optional add-on arrangements, and related matters when purchasing from LaptopClinic.sg.

LaptopClinic.sg is owned and operated by Esmond Solutions Pte. Ltd., a company incorporated in Singapore under ACRA Registration No. 202031216G.

This Disclaimer should be read together with our Terms of Use, Return & Refund Policy, Warranty Policy, Shipping & Delivery Policy, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and any product-specific terms stated on the relevant product page, checkout page, invoice, warranty option, or written confirmation.

By browsing, placing an order, requesting product guidance, purchasing a product, handling a product, arranging third-party handling, or submitting a return or warranty claim, you agree to this Disclaimer.

1. Ecommerce Product Disclaimer

LaptopClinic.sg operates as an ecommerce platform that sells laptop parts, mobile phone parts, replacement components, electronic components, accessories, and tech-related products.

Unless expressly stated in writing, LaptopClinic.sg is an independent ecommerce seller and is not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by, sponsored by, appointed by, or officially connected with any laptop, mobile phone, electronics, device, or component manufacturer, brand owner, distributor, or authorised representative.

Brand names, model names, trademarks, logos, part numbers, manufacturer references, device references, and compatibility references may appear on the Website strictly for product identification, compatibility description, model matching, and customer reference purposes.

All third-party trademarks, brand names, logos, and related intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners. Any such reference should not be understood as an official brand relationship, authorisation, certification, endorsement, sponsorship, agency, partnership, or manufacturer-backed guarantee unless expressly stated in writing.

2. Customer Responsibility for Compatibility

Customers are responsible for checking that the selected product is suitable for their device, product requirement, usage, and intended purpose before placing an order.

For laptop and mobile phone components, compatibility may depend on many factors, including:

  • Device brand and model
  • Exact model code
  • Serial number, where relevant
  • Part number
  • Screen size
  • Screen resolution
  • Connector type
  • Pin count
  • Cable position
  • Battery voltage
  • Battery capacity
  • Keyboard layout
  • Keyboard language
  • Board revision
  • Region version
  • Shape, screw hole position, dimensions, and mounting points
  • Product batch, product revision, or supplier version
  • Any other specification required for proper product selection

A product that appears visually similar may still be unsuitable if the part number, connector, voltage, layout, cable position, shape, region version, or internal specification is different.

If you are unsure, you should contact LaptopClinic.sg before placing an order.

3. Product Guidance Is Not a Guarantee

LaptopClinic.sg may provide general product guidance, product matching assistance, or compatibility information where possible.

However, any guidance provided by us is based on the information available at the time and the information supplied by the customer.

Unless LaptopClinic.sg expressly confirms compatibility in writing for your specific device and specific product requirement, product guidance should not be treated as a guaranteed confirmation.

Customers remain responsible for checking final suitability before purchase.

LaptopClinic.sg is not responsible for issues caused by incomplete customer information, incorrect model details, wrong part numbers, unclear photos, third-party advice, customer assumptions, device modifications, previous device damage, or product differences not disclosed to us before purchase.

4. Customer-Provided Information

Customers may be asked to provide information such as model number, serial number, part number, product label photo, device photo, connector photo, screen panel label, battery label, keyboard layout, board marking, or other product details.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all information provided to LaptopClinic.sg is accurate, complete, current, and clear.

LaptopClinic.sg may not be able to provide reliable guidance if the customer provides incomplete, blurry, incorrect, outdated, misleading, or insufficient information.

If the product selected is unsuitable because of incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer, the item will not be eligible for return, refund, or exchange unless LaptopClinic.sg approves otherwise in writing.

5. Product Images and Listing Information

Product images on LaptopClinic.sg may be used for illustration or reference purposes only.

Actual products may vary in packaging, label design, colour shade, markings, supplier batch, production version, connector appearance, cosmetic condition, or minor layout details.

Product descriptions, specifications, compatibility notes, condition labels, warranty options, and stock information may be updated or corrected at any time.

Customers should read the full product listing carefully before placing an order.

Where there is any uncertainty, customers should contact us before purchase.

6. Product Condition

Products sold on LaptopClinic.sg may include brand-new compatible products, OEM-equivalent products where accurately stated, new third-party replacement components, used hardware components, open-box items, accessories, lifestyle tech products, special-order items, or sourced-on-request items.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, LaptopClinic.sg does not sell refurbished components.

We do not claim that our hardware components are manufacturer-authorised original parts unless expressly stated and lawfully supported.

Where a product is listed as “used”, “open-box”, “special-order”, “sourced-on-request”, “clearance”, or similar, the condition, packaging, warranty coverage, return eligibility, and expected cosmetic appearance may differ from standard stock items.

Customers should review the product condition before placing an order.

7. Wrong Product Selection

Wrongly selected products are not eligible for return, refund, or exchange unless LaptopClinic.sg approves otherwise in writing.

This includes cases where the customer:

  • Ordered the wrong model
  • Ordered the wrong part number
  • Selected the wrong size, voltage, connector, layout, region version, or specification
  • Assumed compatibility without checking
  • Relied on incomplete or incorrect third-party advice
  • Did not check product photos, description, or compatibility notes
  • Provided incorrect or incomplete information to LaptopClinic.sg
  • Later discovered that the device has another issue unrelated to the purchased product
  • No longer needs the item after purchase

Customers should confirm suitability before ordering, especially for sensitive hardware components.

8. Sensitive Hardware Components

Some hardware components are sensitive and may be affected by handling, pressure, electrostatic discharge, connector alignment, cable positioning, voltage mismatch, unsuitable tools, unsuitable device condition, overheating, contamination, liquid exposure, or improper testing.

This may apply to products such as screens, batteries, keyboards, boards, charging ports, flex cables, camera modules, speaker modules, and mobile phone components.

Customers who handle, connect, test, fit, or allow third parties to handle the product do so at their own risk.

LaptopClinic.sg may reject return, refund, exchange, or warranty claims where the product shows signs of improper handling, pressure marks, torn cables, bent pins, damaged connectors, liquid exposure, burnt marks, missing protective film, tampering, modification, missing parts, or any condition inconsistent with the original supplied condition.

9. Screens and Display Components

Screens and display components may vary by size, resolution, connector type, connector position, backlight type, panel thickness, frame type, refresh rate, mounting points, touch support, region version, and product batch.

A screen that looks similar may not be suitable for every device.

Customers should verify screen size, resolution, connector position, pin count, panel type, part number, and device model before purchase.

LaptopClinic.sg is not responsible for compatibility issues caused by wrong model, wrong part number, wrong resolution, wrong connector, wrong cable position, device condition, third-party advice, or customer assumption.

10. Batteries and Power-Related Products

Battery and power-related products may vary by model, voltage, capacity, connector type, shape, screw hole position, board version, region version, and device compatibility.

Customers should verify battery part number, voltage, connector, capacity, shape, and device model before purchase.

Battery performance may also be affected by usage pattern, device condition, charger quality, operating temperature, storage duration, power settings, and normal chemical ageing.

Customers should stop using any battery or power-related product immediately if they notice unusual heat, swelling, odour, leakage, smoke, deformation, or unsafe behaviour, and should contact LaptopClinic.sg for guidance.

11. Keyboards and Input Components

Keyboard and input components may vary by layout, language, region version, backlight support, connector type, frame type, colour, key arrangement, and model revision.

Customers should check keyboard layout, language, connector, frame type, backlight support, part number, and device model before purchase.

LaptopClinic.sg is not responsible for wrong layout selection, wrong language selection, wrong region version, connector mismatch, frame mismatch, or compatibility issues caused by customer error or incomplete checking.

12. Boards, Ports, Flex Cables, and Internal Components

Boards, charging ports, flex cables, and internal components may vary by model, board revision, connector type, cable length, cable shape, pin count, layout, region version, and product batch.

These components may also be affected by the condition of the customer’s device, including liquid exposure, corrosion, short circuit, previous damage, power issues, unsuitable connectors, missing screws, damaged mounting points, or other internal conditions.

Customers should verify compatibility carefully before purchase.

LaptopClinic.sg is not responsible for issues caused by unsuitable device condition, wrong part number, wrong connector, wrong board revision, electrical damage, liquid exposure, corrosion, or third-party handling.

13. Accessories, Standing Desks, Chairs, and Lifestyle Tech Products

Accessories, standing desks, chairs, and lifestyle tech products may have product-specific specifications, compatibility requirements, assembly requirements, size limits, weight limits, power requirements, intended usage conditions, and warranty terms.

Customers should check all product dimensions, specifications, intended use, compatibility requirements, weight limits, voltage requirements, power requirements, assembly notes, product placement requirements, and usage instructions before placing an order.

Unless expressly stated in writing, customers are responsible for ensuring that the product is suitable for their intended space, device, environment, usage, and purpose.

LaptopClinic.sg is not responsible for issues caused by misuse, improper assembly, overloading, unsuitable placement, modification, liquid exposure, external damage, incorrect power use, failure to follow product instructions, or use outside the product’s intended purpose.

14. Customer Self-Handling and Third-Party Handling

Customers are responsible for any product handling, testing, fitting, setup, connection, modification, assembly, or use carried out by themselves or by any third party they choose to engage.

LaptopClinic.sg is not responsible for any damage, loss, incompatibility, data loss, device-related issue, product-related issue, personal injury, or other consequence caused by customer self-handling, third-party handling, improper handling, incorrect tools, electrical damage, liquid exposure, modification, misuse, unsuitable device condition, or handling performed outside an approved arrangement confirmed in writing by LaptopClinic.sg.

Customers should ensure that sensitive hardware components are handled only by a suitably experienced person and in an appropriate environment. This is especially important for products such as screens, batteries, boards, ports, flex cables, mobile phone components, and other delicate electronic components.

Any handling performed by the customer or by a third party is at the customer’s own risk.

15. Singapore-Only Optional Add-On Arrangements

For selected Singapore orders, LaptopClinic.sg may, at its discretion, make available an optional add-on arrangement relating to product fitting, product handling, or product setup through an independent third-party provider or other approved arrangement.

This optional add-on arrangement is separate from the sale of products and is not automatically included with any product purchase. It is only confirmed when it has been expressly selected, paid for where applicable, and confirmed in writing through the Website, checkout page, invoice, order confirmation, or our official customer care channel.

Availability is subject to product type, item suitability, customer-provided information, device condition, appointment availability, confirmed location, separate charges, safety considerations, and any additional terms provided before confirmation.

LaptopClinic.sg may decline, reschedule, or cancel an optional add-on arrangement if the requested item is unsuitable, the device condition is not appropriate, the customer provides incomplete or inaccurate information, the appointment cannot be confirmed, safety or handling concerns arise, or the arrangement is not commercially or operationally reasonable.

For overseas customers, LaptopClinic.sg provides parts-only ecommerce sales. Overseas customers are responsible for arranging any product fitting, product handling, product setup, testing, or related work in their own country.

16. Data Responsibility

Customers are responsible for backing up, removing, securing, or protecting their own data, files, accounts, passwords, applications, settings, and digital content before any approved item handover under an optional add-on arrangement or before allowing any third party to handle any device or product.

LaptopClinic.sg does not guarantee that any data, files, settings, accounts, applications, device content, or digital information will be preserved. LaptopClinic.sg is not liable for data loss, data corruption, account access issues, device lockout, application-related issues, loss of stored content, or any loss caused by device condition, customer-provided access, customer self-handling, third-party handling, customer instructions, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Customers should not provide passwords, passcodes, one-time passwords, banking information, private files, confidential information, personal login credentials, or other sensitive access details unless expressly required for a customer-approved purpose.

17. Special-Order and Sourced-On-Request Products

LaptopClinic.sg may assist customers in sourcing rare, discontinued, special-order, uncommon, or hard-to-find products.

Customers must ensure the requested product is suitable before confirming a special-order or sourced-on-request purchase.

For such products, availability, pricing, lead time, packaging, markings, supplier batch, label design, and product details may depend on supplier confirmation.

Once a supplier order has been placed, the order is generally non-cancellable, non-returnable, and non-refundable unless LaptopClinic.sg agrees otherwise in writing or unless otherwise required by applicable law.

18. Returns, Refunds, and Warranty Claims

This Disclaimer should be read together with our Return & Refund Policy and Warranty Policy.

Wrong product selection, customer assumption, incomplete compatibility checks, customer self-handling, third-party handling, physical damage, liquid damage, electrical damage, tampering, modification, or unsuitable device condition may affect return, refund, exchange, or warranty eligibility.

Wrong, missing, visibly damaged, or defective-on-arrival items must be reported within 3 calendar days from delivery or collection.

All claims are subject to assessment by LaptopClinic.sg.

20. Non-Excludable Rights

Nothing in this Disclaimer limits or excludes any rights that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable Singapore law.

Where a product does not conform to contract, or where applicable law requires a remedy, LaptopClinic.sg will handle the matter according to the applicable legal requirement and the facts of the case.
