Replacement Parts Disclaimer

LaptopClinic.sg is not affiliated with any OEM brand. All parts we sell are replacement parts; product names and trademarks are used only to show compatibility with various machines.
This page explains what that notice means, in plain words. It is part of our Terms of Service.
1. We are an independent shop
An OEM ("original equipment manufacturer") is the brand that made your laptop, such as HP, Lenovo, Apple or Razer. LaptopClinic.sg is an independent shop: it is not an authorised dealer, reseller, distributor or service centre of any laptop brand, and no brand sponsors, endorses or approves this shop or the parts we sell.
2. What "replacement part" means
A replacement part is made to fit and work in your laptop in place of the original part. Unless a product page says otherwise, it is not made or approved by the brand of the laptop it fits. For example, an "HP laptop battery" in our shop is a battery that fits certain HP laptops; it is not an HP product.
Some products, such as memory, are sold under the name of the company that made them. We buy and sell those as an independent shop too, not as that company's authorised distributor.
3. Why brand names appear on our website
To show which machines a part fits, we have to name them: the laptop brand, the model, and the part number printed on the original part. We use these names only for that purpose, as section 28 of Singapore's Trade Marks Act 1998 allows for spare parts and accessories. All brand names, model names and trademarks belong to their owners.
4. Check the fit before you buy
Laptops that look alike can need different parts. Before you order, compare the part number printed on your old part, and details such as voltage, capacity, connector, size and memory type, with the product page. Each product page lists the models the part fits.
Choosing the right part is your responsibility. We are happy to help on WhatsApp at +65 8828 8180 if you send us a photo of your old part or of your laptop's model label, but please check the part number yourself before you order. If you order the wrong part for your machine, we cannot take it back. If the part does not match its product page, that is our mistake, and we put it right (see our Returns and Refunds Policy).
5. Photos and descriptions
Product photos show the item, but labels, colours and markings can differ slightly from one batch to the next. What counts is the part number and the details written on the product page. If something on a product page looks wrong, please tell us before you order.
6. Fitting a part, and safety
Fitting a laptop part takes care and the right tools. If you, or a technician you choose, fit the part, it is at your own risk: damage caused while fitting is not a fault in the part. Switch the laptop off and unplug it first, and back up your data before you start.
Stop using a battery straight away if it swells, gets unusually hot, smells, leaks or is damaged, and contact us. Our Warranty Policy explains how to recycle old batteries safely.
7. Our guides
The guides on this website are published by LaptopClinic.sg, a shop that sells laptop parts. They give general information to help you choose and fit parts. They are not the instructions of your laptop's maker, and laptops differ, so always check your own machine and follow its maker's instructions where they differ. You follow a guide at your own risk: as far as the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss or damage caused by following it.
8. Your rights are not affected
Nothing on this page reduces your rights under Singapore law, or our responsibility for faulty parts. See our Returns and Refunds Policy and Warranty Policy.
